James Gail Teachout

He came to be

In ‘thirty-two

Around the lake

As a child he grew

His childhood knew

Not the easiest of times

Still he grew to a man

Who was gentle and kind

Wanting to make

His mark in this life

As a young man

He took a new wife

Starting a family

Was what he wanted to do

Four sons and a daughter

Made this dream become true

Shaping and molding

And caring for his young

Guiding and teaching

A task never done

‘Though providing all this

Took up much of his time

He still remained one

Who was gentle and kind

Problems and worries

Seeming never to end

Yet he would still be the first

To help family or friend

Twice when tragedy struck

And a young life was gone

He remained ever strong

For those left to lean on

As his retirement came

There was yet no time to rest

For to all privileged to know him

He still offered his best

He was a compassionate man

With a generous heart

And in everyone of our lives

He played such a large part

And now in loving memory

This man in each of our minds

Will always be thought of

As so gentle and kind

My Heart Will Go On

Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you,

That is how I know you go no

Far across the distance

And spaces between us

You have come to show you go on

Near, far wherever you are

I believe that the heart dose go on

Once more you open the door

And you’re here in my heart

And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time

And last for a lifetime

And never let go till we’re one

Love was when I loved you

One true time I hold to

In my life we’ll always go on

Near, far wherever you are

I believe that the heart dose go on

Once more you open the door

And you’re here in my heart

And my heart will go on and on

There is some love that will not go away

You’re here, there’s nothing I fear,

And I know that my heart will go on

We’ll stay forever this way

You are safe in my heart

And my heart will go on and on
